The view
In the past I have taken friends from the city to this beach. Many of them I thought were perfectly sensible people, but they reacted with comments like "EW! Seaweed!" and my personal favourite: "The water's TOO COLD!" They lose several points in my esteem by failing to appreciate the beauty of this place.
It's at moments like this that I'm glad I grew up part country kid and not all pampered city mouse.
And I'm also glad that my best friend swims like a fish and doesn't mind the seaweed.
