Speaking of baseball....
I'm going down to the SDot tomorrow to watch the Mariners play.
I'm also hoping to hang out at Elliot Bay Books, aka Heaven on Earth, and see a Henry Darger show, then stop in at my favourite little town on Whidbey Island to take in the sea and the scenery. Look at how beautiful it is over there. I can't wait.
Washington State is my favourite part of the states for a few tried and true reasons. Unfortunately, none of these reasons is actual experience. As my new pal Mr. Zen pointed out, I know virtually nothing about Southern American geography or cu
lture, and other than California and Oregon, Washington is the only state I've ever actually seen with my own brown eyes. I'd really love to go to San Francisco, and to New York, and maybe even to Hollywood just for the hell of it. That sounds like a good time.
Then I'm heading to the island for the last blast of summer. I'm bartending the aforementioned dock party, and then heading home for job interviews. Oh joy. Soon it will be back to the square life for me.
