fun with Egyptians and a little fiction
I did write yesterday, but my fucking computer died and I lost everything. I was having a bit of fun with a guy who contacted me through my Flickr photos, because he was a terribly predictable individual and rather good for a lark. It's mean and it's catty, but I think it's safe to say that he deserved it. For the record, I don't much like total strangers on the internet being as forward as he was. It would be cool if people understood that just because I have photos of my outside available for public consumption, it doesn't mean you know me, or that the superficial is all I am. I thought that was fairly obvious, but apparently not. Cheezy lines also don't get you very far with me. In fact, they make me want to swear off men forever.
Here, I'll post some of our MSN conversation and you'll get it. I get creepy vibes from this guy. His messages are in red. The information I know about him I gleaned from his profile, but he doesn't seem to know anything about me at all. English is rather clearly not his first language. I won't hold that against him, but as you can see the "proplems" go quite a lot deeper than that. The (F) is a rose emoticon, by the way. THAT was his opening.

Just for the record, calling me 'baby' and 'honey' and 'dolly' when we've just met is a great way to get me to block your address. 'Dolly' is what my mother called my little cousin when she was three years old. Those photos were bound to attract a few creeps. I had just hoped they might be clever and/or interesting creeps.
Ugh. On to better things.
I went to a jazz concert last night and wrote an entire short story in my head. Now I have to put it on paper. Are any of you interested in reading it -- if and when it's finished?
And I also meant to work on my sidebar. I'll try to do that today too.
